It doesn't seem to work though with iGo8, or am I doing something wrong here ?
It works fine with iGO8
Just export your itinary as ".kml" file and put it in the folder content/userdata/route
Tnx c&d, it works indeed, I saved the data in the wrong folder.
It doesn't seem to work for me though.
I see .dat files and the .kml file that I copied but when I want to load a route in iGO, I only see the corresponding .dat files but not the .kml file.
I'm having the same problem. I tried creating the /userdata/route directory. I also tried putting them in save/routes. Neither place would load a kml file. Is there any other setting?
The same with me. IGO8 doesn't seems to read KML files. Something is not clear here.
Now it works: http://www.routeconverter.de/forum/showthread.php?tid=184
RE: Prepare a route for IGO8
There is a way to get Routes into the igo8.
I tested it and for me it works fine.
First you have to create the following directories in the ig8-directory on your sd-card: \iGO8\CONTENT\USERDATA\ROUTE
If you now copy .kml (e.g. Google-Earth) in Version 4 or 4.2 into the new "ROUTE" directory then the route will be imported automatically at igo8 starts. Please do not forget to check the optionbox for "saving as route, track and waypointlist", like it is done in the attachment.
The imported rout appears in light grey and it is recommended to open it and to save it as newroute. Then you can delete the imported one.
As I said, I tested it an it works fine.
LG
It must be routeconverter 1.65+ and Google Earth format 4 or 4.2. Now it works fine.
Has this been updated to read MapPoint 2009 (.ptm) files? I am unable to read them...
Thanks
